My sisters and I took our Mum for afternoon tea on 29th May for her birthday. Staff were friendly and professional. The view while we ate was of the gardens with lots of birds and flowers. We thoroughly enjoyed our sandwiches, scones and cake along with prosecco and tea. The selection of teas available was good and there were plenty of refills available. I hope to go again and would highly recommend

I went to the spa for a swim and steam - the pool is a decent length for a swim and the steam was really great. The staff are so lovely 😍! I walked through the hotel - which is tastefully decorated and classy - but didn't stay so I've no odea what the rooms are like. If they're anything like the rest of the hotel then they're probably pretty lush. Signage to the spa through the hotel is a bit sketchy - but apart from that it was a very positive experience.

Reception on arrival 11/10. The staff noted my wife's wheelchair and moved us to a closer room. Even so, the hotel is a bit of a maze, but we were given clear instructions on how to find the room The room was nice, comfortable bed, good bathroom. Large TV on the wall. We used the restaurant only for breakfast, the food was pretty good. What let the restaurant down is the two issues with the restaurant, my wife was using her wheelchair. The greeter at the door took her room number explained where the food was and advised her to help herself, which is fine. Unfortunately, there was no vacant table for a wheelchair, and every table had an empty chair in the way. None of the staff offered to move a chair to make space for her wheel-chair, in fact another guest opened a partition door to make space and moved the chair at the table for her. I joined her a few minutes later to get the food and coffee, The second issue we faced was the constant need for items to be replenished. With the exception of the hot food, we had to either wait for staff to top stuff up or not have the item offered. We ate here only once, but among other items, we had to ask staff to refill the bread, orange juice, butter, and all three fruit salads / compotes among others. From the response to reviews i have read, rather than speaking to the restaurant manager, i would encourage you to look for someone with the capability to resolve the restaurant's issues, which appear from trip advisor reviews to be an on ongoing issue.

We were celebrating a family birthday and had 5 rooms. There were a few things that weren’t as they should be but the staff did their best at the time to rectify things. The decor in some parts of the hotel and rooms is tired and could do with a refresh. Having said that, the pool and gym were very good and we enjoyed using them. The food was excellent; all our meals were good. Overall, the staff were very friendly and helpful but it just lacks the quality I would expect from a spa hotel &Manor House setting.

Nice grounds, rooms are spacious but more than a bit 'tired', could really do with a revamp. No room service, food in bar and restaurant was ok but nothing special. A couple of the members of staff were excellent, although there were a few 'heated' discussions within earshot of the guests. We didn't use the pool or spa so cannot comment on those facilities.
