A lavish, new boutique hotel in the heart of Holborn. L'oscar is a turn-of-the-century architectural gem, now extravagantly restored by world-leading decorateur, Jacques Garcia and L’oscar International. The hotel has been created from a Baroque-style, grade II listed former church in Holborn, a grand literary hub, and the centre of a thriving mix of bars, shops and restaurants that forms part of the city’s coolest high-end district. Imagination and attention to detail is woven into the fabric of L’oscar, from the sumptuously-decorated bedrooms, velvet and leather interiors, exquisitely-unique champagne coupes, crystal butterfly wing taps and chandelier.

Located on the first floor, The Committee Room is steeped in history. It features an original fireplace, a vaulted hand plastered ceiling and a Royal Doulton terracotta plaque carved in 1903. The formality of the oak panelled walls is wonderfully offset by the large, playful peacock painting, the Lalique bird lights and the bespoke furnishings.

We just had a night's stay at Loscar and... wow! From the moment we walked through the door, the service was impeccable. The front desk staff were just amazing, and the fuss they made over our elderly Pug was superb. We had the festive menu for dinner which was just delicious. Loscar is opulent, luxurious, and I simply cannot recommend it highly enough. A 10/10 from us!

Lovely meal if a bit slow. Charming restaurant, great food and don’t forget to ask to visit the cathedral like dome. Highly recommend the restaurant if you have time on your hands. Great for Christmas shopping eating treat.

A unique and stylish hotel right next to Holborn station. Beautifully decorated throughout with gentle lighting and a calm atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff. Large luxurious, well-equipped rooms. Lovely restaurant, amazing tasting food and a cool bar area.

We tried the brand new afternoon tea, almost couldn't finish it, lot of amazing bakeries. We got to visit the whole hotel, it's a museum, we never saw something like this, unique style, you get out with 15 pictures on your phone. Professional staff, 5 star hotel for sure ! And not that expensive comparing with same standing hotels
