Built in the 1530s for one of Elizabeth I’s courtiers, Seckford Hall has been a leading country-house hotel since the 1950s. Beyond its imposing Tudor façade lie three flexible meeting spaces. For presentations and large events, the Great Hall has its own bar and a minstrels gallery. Elsewhere, the Mulberry Suite and Boardroom are better suited to smaller groups for events, meetings and private dining. An excellent on-site restaurant and 32 bedrooms make overnighters a cinch.

We have thoroughly enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea to celebrate a special anniversary. The setting was perfect in the beautiful restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble for the attentive staff. The selection of food was just right with choice of sandwiches cakes and scones. One diner has coeliac disease and the gluten free food was delicious. Highly recommend this hotel which has really improved under the new management. Thank you

We stayed at the beautiful Seckford House on our wedding night. It was just perfect , from the room to the views, the staff and the food/drinks. We could not have felt more special. We were given complimentary drinks upon arrival to celebrate our big day. I really cannot fault the team and we cannot wait to return here. We would definitely recommend staying here.

We got married at seckford hall last Saturday. We cannot thank them enough! The day was perfect. The whole planning team were excellent leading up to the day, and Georgia was a star on the day, so organised but also chilled and fun. We were blessed with a sunny day and the grounds looked beautiful. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Lots of our family and friends stayed at the hotel and spoke highly of their rooms. Our honeymoon sweet was so beautiful we didn't want to leave. Finally as huge foodies- the food is unbeatable. I was also shocked when a fussy eater in the family who ate at the restaurant said she 'loved' the food, the crayfish pasta I believe. Thank you so much for everything, Seckford Hall seems to just keep getting better, even since we booked our wedding a year ago. It will always be special for us.

Great country retreat near the wonderful town of Woodford. Classy accommodation, great food and wide selection of wine, beer & cocktails. Great place for a short getaway or for tying the knot. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Thanks for a fantastic stay!👍

We had the relax and restore spa break which included a treatment, afternoon tea, spa access, dinner, room and breakfast. Overall it was great to have a complete package and apart from drinks there was nothing we had to spend extra for. The hotel is set in a beautiful grounds and the common areas of the hotel are charming and authentic as well as the swimming pool. However the dining room and rooms are decorated not in keeping with the period, with modern glam which was a little disappointing. And the restaurant felt basic and lacking charm compared to the quality of food! Another thing to improve is the afternoon tea, whilst the range and drinks were great, the food was a little stale, not sure how long they had that prepared in the fridge to unwrap... Overall a lovely stay and would definitely stay again. Staff were very kind and helpful!
