Built in the 1530s for one of Elizabeth I’s courtiers, Seckford Hall has been a leading country-house hotel since the 1950s. Beyond its imposing Tudor façade lie three flexible meeting spaces. For presentations and large events, the Great Hall has its own bar and a minstrels gallery. Elsewhere, the Mulberry Suite and Boardroom are better suited to smaller groups for events, meetings and private dining. An excellent on-site restaurant and 32 bedrooms make overnighters a cinch.

The room, service and staff were all impeccable and the sumptuous food is very deserving of its multiple 2 AA rosette awards. The spa is equally good - excellent massage and pedicure. Sunday lunch is one the best we’ve ever had and was outstanding value for money. We look forward to our next visit soon.

We had an absolutely delightful stay at Seckford Hall for our silver wedding anniversary. We went for the Tudor room, with the charm of a four-poster bed. The room is quirky and wonky, but spacious and warm, with the unique bed as the show piece of the space. The bathroom was huge with the luxury of 2 sinks, a walk-in shower and a stand alone, roll-top bath. In our view though, the bedroom wasn’t the best thing… what we loved most about the place is the incredible downstairs lounge area which exudes history and charm; the stunningly delicious food but finally, not understating this… the service. The staff at Seckford are friendly, interested, attentive, but not in-your-face nor too much. They get it just right! We thoroughly recommend staying at Seckford Hall Hotel and truly hope it won’t be long before our next visit!

We had the most amazing spa day on Valentine’s Day, the facilities are brilliant - from the snug room to the garden spa every part was relaxing and the food was delicious. I had the best massage I’ve ever had in my life! I had a hot stone back full body massage from Ella and it was the most relaxing treatment you could ever imagine, would really highly recommend!

My wife and I loved returning to Seckford Hall – it's a gem! If you have food allergies, they'll take incredible care of you. My wife's needs were handled perfectly, with the chef marking up the menu beforehand. The food was delicious, but the basil-infused delice dessert was out of this world! The hotel itself is stunning, the staff are warm and welcoming, and it's perfect for exploring Woodbridge and surrounding villages. Thanks to Peter and the team for a fantastic stay – we'll be back! PS: Try their Moscow Mule with Fisher's Smoked Gin in the bar – it's amazing!

We had a pleasant stay this week, the staff were lovely to speak to and very helpful. The bathroom products were luxury but the rooms were smaller than expected. The swimming pool was a great addition and something we enjoyed Exceptionally beautiful building and always clean. We look forward to returning in warmer weather to experience the spa area and newly refurbished terrace area
