Bathroom need an update. The zed bed was less than stable. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. Staff could not have been more helpful.

Me and my partner loved our Christmas break at Makeney Hall. We love the historic building and the Christmas decorations were lovely. The staff are all very helpful and kind and they made mocktails especially for us. We were upgraded to a gorgeous suite with the most amazing private sauna. The breakfast was hot and freshly cooked for us. We can’t wait to return especially when the weather is better so we can walk through the amazing acres of gardens. It is so relaxing there and we love the wildlife. We saw owls flying around and rabbits playing in the grass.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the very beautiful Makeney Hall. Straightforward check in with welcoming staff. Thrilled to be upgraded. Room absolutely gorgeous with everything needed, bed very comfortable, lovely quiet surroundings. Great breakfast. Special thank you to Lisa who served us very efficiently, answering our questions in a friendly, informative way. We definitely intend to be back..

Just outside Belper. Lovely hotel in own grounds. Great room, we upgraded and it was very luxurious. Settee, walk in shower, super king size bed. Well worth extra cost. Food was very good with good portions and a different twist on flavours. Great prices also. Well recommend.

Beautiful venue. Spacious clean and warm room. We have a courtyard room with stunning views. Listen for the owls in the evening 😊 Decent bar prices.. Restaurant is again fab. Just eaten and all was hot and delicious. For the price..its bang for your buck. Definately stay again.
