What a fantastic place this is. We booked a table for 6 for today. A gorgeous village pub serving delicious, generous sized plates of food. 4 different roasts. 2 different starter menus or burgers etc.. I opted for the beef roast which was top notch. The green veg in particular so refreshing alongside the cauliflower parsnips carrots and potatoes. Everyone cleared their plates and even though our bellies were full, the desert offerings were too inviting! Totally recommend this place. The garden is big, there's a small play area for the kids and a small field area too.. Highly recommended.

Sunday roast was delicious. Lovely old pub in the middle of what seems like nowhere with extensive pub garden and cosy inside with log fire. Good selection of ales too. Very dog-friendy. Ours got a bowl of water and 2 dog biscuits on arrival. Would definitely make a note to stop here again.

We had meals here staying close by, catered for our needs when it was my birthday, and we had 2 tables for 10 but apart, adhering to the rules. The food was very good, the service was very good. We also had breakfast as well, the choices were good. The only bug bear was you had to pay full price even though some of our choices were for a couple of things.

Great service, attentive but not in your face. The food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Great I’m definitely going back to eat there again soon .

Fabulous public house and restaurant food more than amazing especially the deserts, great staff. But the garden are wonderful, large areas to find a nice quiet spot or a lovely area for the children closed at the moment though. Has a lovely historical story to why it's called the ship inn. 10/10 all round oh and fabulous veg garden you can walk around.
