Staff throughout we're welcoming and helpful. Our room was lovely with a super view, hindered only for a while by the misty rain. The museum was a quirky and fascinating extra. Would have loved to explore the grounds a bit more but we were there at tail end of storm so made better use of the hotels spa and sitting by some of the cosy firesides.

My husband and I joined other family members when we all stayed for a weekend in the Atholl Palace Hotel in January 2024 to celebrate a milestone birthday. This majestic hotel is in a very good location. We walked the short distance from the hotel into the town of Pitlochry where we did some retail therapy! There were stunning views from our bedroom window which was on the first floor. I liked the colour scheme and the high quality furnishing in the room. The bathroom was extra spacious and spotlessly clean. The foyer is a large relaxing area with three log fires burning brightly which create a warm atmosphere. The breakfast and dinner menus offer a great choice and the food was delicious. We went to the Abba Tribute band event which was lively, entertaining and the meal was excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Our stay in Atholl Palace was most enjoyable. We hope to return. Marian and Brendan Noonan

Let me start by saying the hotel and grounds are beautiful. I have never felt a place so serene and a staff so eager to please. The food is delicious, the grounds are fantastic to explore, and the history of the hotel and its grandeur are breathtaking. Now, my husband and I stayed there last August and had a magical time and happened to take a bottle of their gin home as a souvenir. Neither of us are gin drinkers, so it sat at the house for months untouched, until we felt nostalgic to the trip and broke into it. Since then, we are been gin conisours, but the gin at Atholl is a grade above others we have tried. So much so that when we came back to Scotland this holiday, my husband had some sent to our hotel. Alison at Blair was so accommodating to us, and we will be staying with them the next time we go to Pitlochry. Side note, they use rosemary and lavender from the garden on the grounds in the gin! Maybe that’s why it’s so good. You can taste the hard work and love in every sip.

Once visited around 7 years ago for a Sunday carvery that was amazing in almost every way and so have always wanted to return. Finally had the chance this weekend and the entire experience left me feeling rather underwhelmed. Staff were very robotic with the receptionist saying "your welcome" three times before I had ever said thank you. Dinner was rather bland and again the service was somewhat flat with everything felling rushed. Room 105 was fine in itself but when someone opened one of the doors in the corridor if felt as though they were in the room with you making for a rather disturbed sleep. Overall, sadly, not worth the price paid.
