The hotel itself is looking a bit tired and rundown with scuffs along all corridor walls and paintwork. The service levels I experienced were very high from check in, through breakfast and into lunch, all staff were friendly, polite and helpful. On checking in, the lady did say that my room would be "a bit of a trek", she wasn't wrong, I considered ordering a taxi half way in (kidding). The room itself was as tired as the hotel and very hot (even on a cool March evening). One thing that did disappoint was the fact there were no nets on the window so privacy was an issue. The food was of a good quality that catered for vegetarians. All in all, I would use the hotel again.

The hotel was in a perfect location for our stay. Had a friendly, and quick check in . And room was close and easy to get to . Public corridors , stairs were not a great site , hadn't been hoovered for ages , skirting ect dusty and tired. Room was better , although quite dated . plenty of storage , and kettle fitted in sink to fill . The main problem we had was hot water , you could shower with warmish water , but when tried to fill bath , it was cold , so had a bright idea to try to fill bath from shower head , but then realised the plug was no good , so bath didn't fill . Reported it to reception next day , they said that maintenance would sort it . We returned back later that afternoon, but the attempt for a hot bath was exactly the same , plus shower was also cold . Breakfast was good . The bar was OK, with friendly bar tenders . So all in all , great location , great staff . But a hot bath shouldn't be too much to ask for . And was our only complaint .

Worst stay ever. Fire alarm kept going off early morning and late nights. No hot water for 2 days!!!!!!! staff said it was getting fixed but by reading other reviews it always happens. Elevator was broken so we had to carry our large heavy suitcases up flights of stairs. Was told by manager they would give a refund but after numerous emails they just don’t reply. You would be better to get a cardboard box and sleep in that than stay at this hotel. Don’t do it!!!
