Got married here in August and Krystyna and the team exceeded all expectations -- even with all the other great reviews to reassure us. Top location, great food, and all the extra bells and whistles were easy-to-arrange through their reliable contacts (although they were just as flexible for any of our own). Big shoutout to Krystyna, who helped coordinated the whole thing from day one -- having got to the other side of this, I now know it's not something you can easily put a price on, especially during the last couple years of unsureness. 100% one to check out if you're after something beautiful and intimate -- especially if, like us, you're slightly put off by some of the more corporate/impersonal locations (although still great options for the right event). Big thumbs up!

The staff were great for us and two in particular, Steffi with her beautiful smile and amazing eyes was very polite and was always happy to make us feel welcome. Jake behind the bar was very debonair, charming and showed great service as did all the staff all with smiles. We had a four poster room that was full of character and very comfy. Food was good especially my steak cooked to perfection and breakfast was plentiful in a lovely setting. I cannot see why the negative reviews have been written, but maybe some just have to moan about something. Well don The Talbot and thank you

This was mine and my partners first time away together so it was a very special time for us and we weren’t disappointed! The Talbot is such a clean, beautiful and authentic hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was fantastic and so much choice from continental to full English. We will definitely be returning customers as we loved our stay here and made to feel very welcome! Thank you The Talbot for making our stay an enjoyable and memorable one 🙂

An excellent place with lovely staff. Your staff is what makes this place 5 stars ! Had a pleasant sleep, breakfast was standard. My only bit of advice would be my room 111 a couple of the down lights are not working. Will definitely visit again !

Popped in for a quick stop. Didn't know what to expect as never been before. Very elegant place but they really made us feel welcome. Good coffee to.

Really enjoyable stay with family. Fantastic period building very well maintained. All staff friendly and helpful. Unfortunately bar was under-staffed and rooms probably need a little TLC.
