May 2024We came here years ago and had the steak on the hot rocks. So we came back and did the same. Can't beat it. Best version, simply great and always a memorable experience. So good we forgot to take pictures. Live music was great and the staff were really friendly and met all our requests. It was a real struggle on the walk back! Will definitely be back again one day.

April 2024Absolutely brilliant, and great fun We visited twice during a family trip to Edinburgh - Thursday night for dinner and Saturday for lunch. Both times we requested the back room as they have live music. On the Thursday the singer and band were taking requests (great version of A Little Respect by Erasure) and on the Saturday it was relaxed acoustic guitar vibes. The vegan food here is outstanding and the service just superb. On the Saturday we were served by Anya and she was so friendly and accommodating. Couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.

June 2024Convenient for the railway station, the food was good, but we waited a long time for table service to order, and then again for the drinks to be delivered. The staff were friendly and it had a good vibe.

June 2024Booked a table for afternoon tea with my daughter. Really close to Waverley Station and lovely entrance with flowers arch etc. We were upstairs in a little arch window. Was a cosy spot and great for people watching 😆 The staff were nice. The afternoon tea was a bit expensive with no voucher or deal etc. £22 per person, food was good but a bit much for my 9 year old daughter and I, so felt a little bit of a waste. I asked if we could share one but was told it comes as sharing for two but wasn't really what I meant. Would recommend a visit, the venue is lovely, staff nice, bathrooms very Instagramable.

April 2024If you're interested in a fun, vibrant, and easygoing restaurant, this is the place for you. If you're looking for a quiet dinner with a significant other, it is not. The food was ok, a mix of Scottish and German food. The service was a problem for me Took around 15-20 minutes before the server came to our table, took another 20 minutes for the food to get to our table, and then the waiter was nowhere to be found. I had to go to the bar to ask for our check. If I'm waiting for the check from the waiter for more than 10 minutes, I'd be tempted to walk out. What made it more maddening was the fact that there's a mandatory 12% tip that's added to the bill... I would understand if the table had 6 guests or more but for 2 people, it was ridiculous. In any event didn't enjoy it and wouldn't recommend it.
