We stayed in one of the 2 bedroom apartments at Old Thorns for Easter Weekend. It was absolutely fantastic, the perfect place for a family get away. The apartments are 100% self sufficient of you are self catering, all the main things you require are provided in the kitchen and the bedrooms are spacious with both rooms having en suite They look over the golf course, which although wet was in fantastic condition. We were fortunate to have both breakfast and dinner in the kings Restaurant, dinner offers a good value dinner offering and a fantastic carvery on a Sunday. The only disappointment was we were not there 1 more night so we could eat in the sports bar where if thats what you want to do, you can use your dinner allocation as well. Breakfast was a little hectic but thats expected on a Bank Holiday weekend, I would advise an earlier breakfast if possible. Despite how busy it was the buffet was well topped up and quality excellent. Old Thorns has a great pool, we were with 2 under 8's so made sure we swam in the childrens times, this makes it more relaxing knowing that other guests probably had children as well, great though for those without children as the times to avoid are made very clear We didnt drive anywhere all weekend and took advantage of the local walks but Gun Wharf Quays, Chessington and many other attractions are only a short drive away Overall a great stay!

My Husband & I held our Wedding in the Hampshire Suite at Old Thorns on the 16th February 2024. It was the perfect day, you literally couldn’t ask for better. The suite was stunning, and the perfect space for the 70 guests we had. The hotel, as always is beautiful itself and there is not one complaint we could give. All the guests couldn’t stop complimenting the hotel, the staff and the food. Every single member of staff we dealt with were incredible, Amber and her entire team went above and beyond for us and a massive shout out to the chefs, kitchen and bar staff and the DJ you were all such a big part of the day. No request was too big or too small, and they quite happily accommodated last minute changes. From start to finish, of booking our Wedding with Old Thorns it’s been an absolute pleasure. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a Venue too consider Old Thorns. You will not be disappointed. We will forever remember our day, it was the most magical, beautiful and emotional day and that would not have been possible without Old Thorns and every single person working there. Absolutely lovely hotel, the facilities spa, swimming pool area clean and well decorated. All the staff were so nice and friendly. The food is definitely 3 🌟 rating, i was so happy with the look i tucked into my plate and forgot to take a pictues, and pictures of the hotel itself. You can cook your own stake. I had a wonderful weekend with friends and i will definitely be back for round two of pampering with my family. Worth ever penny.

We were given a gift voucher for this hotel for Christmas. We were so pleased with the style, look & amenities of this hotel. We can't praise this hotel enough for all they offer. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were happy to give us their time to show us around and talk to us about the hotel. We look forward to returning here fir another stay in the summer. Highly recommended.

Absolutely brilliant. The staff were very welcoming and went out of their way to help on all levels. Went to a relatives wedding. Would recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful few days away. Food was delicious 😋 Hope to go again sometime.
