Very smart! Posh residential place for well- heeled older people. Smart and well kept, but then i'd expect this as its new and upmarket. I'm not keen on these exclusively-old type places, but I can't knock it for quality and if that's the sort of thing you want, then great! Our aunt loves it anyway. Lots of extras - all as smart as a 5 star hotel: pool, gym, restaurant. I do like the main 'street' feel, and the grounds are lovely.

Arrived for breakfast only to find painters spray painting the bar in the bar and lounge area . Common sense dictates this was not only the wrong time to paint the bar ( or close the area if it was the only time available) but the whole dining area was contaminated with microscopic paint spores and pungent chemicals . Fortunately the decorators had their own goggles and safety air filter masks -- lets not worry about the customers eh or the hygiene in the adjoining kitchen for diners --fortunately we gave it a miss.

The restaurant is open to the public and although it might seem a little strange to visit a restaurant in a retirement village, it's actually quite swish, the food is fine from a short menu and it's bright and cheerful, so, why not? The Gym is also open to non-resident membership and for gym members the restaurant is a natural draw. Try it. You'll probably enjoy both Gym and restaurant.

Glad mum's here, some improvements could be made from a services perspective.
