conference planners- read this first! If you are considering hosting a conference in Glasgow and are looking for a good venue for your after-party, consider Platform. My ceilidh band (The Jiggers) has been booked to play several corporate events here and you can be assured of a very high standard of service in a really iconic Glasgow venue, set in the tunnels under central station. Well over 1000 delegates came along to the World Congress of Pharmaceuticals in July 2023 and it was amazing to see a huge dance floor filled with about 500 dancers doing the Gay Gordons and the Virginia Reel with us. A great PA system, plenty of bar staff, comfortable seating and good food. A really pro operation.

First time here & went because it's dog friendly. The menu was very limited & unappealing, also really expensive for what we got. £16 for 2 tapas! Everything we ordered came out covered with either sesame seeds, spring onions, paprika, mayo type stuff etc on all our dishes, instead of just a sprinkle for garnishing. Korean chicken was very 'grisly' & really so spicy hot it wasn't enjoyable. Bao buns were soggy. The table was unsteady & wonky as was the other 2 next to us. Staff knew this but never offered to put anything underneath to steady it. Lovely looking venue but it's a shame the food is not up to the same standard. Toilet cleanliness also a bit questionable. Lots of water splashed over the floor, sinks & in cubicles etc This was early on in the day & the place was quite empty so I assume the toilets don't get checked as much as they should. Overall, an expensive lunch, from a limited menu. Nice venue, but doubt we will be back.
