Located in the heart of the West End, Glasgow University Union is a historic venue with impressive architecture and original features. It offers great flexibility, allowing it to be transformed into a stunning wedding venue or a professional corporate setting. Whether you're planning a large dinner event, conference, or wedding, we have extensive experience in hosting academic, corporate, and private functions.

Our venue has two spacious rooms capable of accommodating up to 200 guests for conferences, birthday parties, and evening receptions. Additionally, we offer three more intimate spaces, ensuring we have the perfect room for your event. Our bars are fully stocked with a wide selection of quality drinks, and our exceptional catering team prepares all dishes in-house. They are also adept at catering to specific requirements, whether you prefer canapés or a three-course meal.

The Debates Chamber is the Union's largest room, showcasing its original grandeur and elegance following a renovation. With a seating capacity of approximately 120 for birthday parties or evening receptions and 200 in theatre-style for conferences, it offers ample space for various events. The chamber also has an adjoining Reading Room bar, providing an additional area for guests to unwind and socialise.
