We celebrated our wedding reception here and it was truly wonderful. The staff are superb - really thank you again - nothing was of any trouble, the set-up, food, service and bar tending was immaculate. We highly recommend this venue for a special occasion!

For a student centre, it is an ideal space to chill out and get some work done. A good range of soft drinks and snacks available but you might not find your favourite pick 😉

Absolute shambles at the Glasgow Union’s Oktoberfest. We were promised free entry but got charged £7 at the door — total joke. They ran out of steins and Jäger almost as soon as it started, which completely defeats the point of the event. On top of that, the manager was downright cheeky to my friend when he asked about the free entry we were told about. Terrible organisation, terrible attitude. Wouldn’t waste my time or money here again.

Every single year, the way they go around the release of daft Friday tickets genuinely makes me so angry. Let’s get everyone to stand packed like sardines inside the union from 5pm without telling anyone what time tickets are released… then, at 10pm, let’s announce that tickets won’t be released for another 3 hours! Let’s create challenges that people can partake in for the chance to win a daft Friday ticket… every single challenge involves spending money inside the union … In debates chamber, one of the 4 rooms where the code was going to be released, there was a technical error following the countdown. The screen went black for around two minutes, and some man came in shouting the code from his microphone, to which nobody could really hear. The tickets obviously sold out, and most people in debates didn’t have a chance due to this. You’d think the union would’ve apologized for their diabolical organisation and planning, of course they didn’t. It all feels like one big social experiment to see the lengths that people will go just to get a ticket.. I understand that tickets are incredibly high demand, but just do it online like Glastonbury?
