We visited for Mother's Day and had the Champagne Afternoon Tea.. We thoroughly enjoyed everything. The sandwiches, cakes, and Scones were all decadent and delicious, we would have loved more of the sandwiches! Beautiful decor and so comfortable. Located right on the seafront. This was perfect for a special treat!! The staff were so friendly and fun!

I enjoyed a delicious lunch in the garden room at the weekend. Food was awesome and the staff were welcoming. Only thing I would say was a small negative is that the service took a while. There weren’t many of us in the room but it seemed to take a while for the food and drinks to arrive. However it did not ruin my experience, and I would definitely come back for seconds!

A brief visit to the spa . The facilities are small but peaceful although it was busy. There is a small pool of chest high water level. Entrance has accessible steps. There is a small whirlpool and a steam room. The changing facilities have 2 cubicles and 2 showers in the female designated space.

We had a lovely stay here for 2-night New Year's break which included New Year's Eve celebrations. Hotel was beautifully decorated for the festive season. Rooms comfortable and well appointed. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Food was delicious, our package included breakfast and dinner on both days and afternoon pastries on the day of our arrival. We used the indoor pool and spa which made for a relaxing hour or so before getting ready for New Year's Eve. On a couple of occasions we were left waiting for quite a while at dinner for wine after our meal was served and then coffees at the end - there seemed to be a little disorganisation but this was swiftly rectified. The Grand retains it's timeless elegance and appeal along the seafront, we hope this continues to be the case for many years to come!

We went to The Grand to celebrate Mothers Day with our family. It was a terrible experience and given how rarely we all come together, it is really quite sour. Where to begin? They got our orders wrong. The service was very slow. The price is very high (£39pp afternoon tea) which is fine, provided the quality is commensurate. The quality was atrocious. I can confidently say this was the worst value for money I have ever paid to an establishment. I am very confident the food is repurposed Tesco basics. They got our bill wrong on three accounts. And to top it all off, they forgot to give either Mother at the table their promised Mothers Day gift from The Grand. Our total bill was £280 and it was a complete waste. Please, save yourself and steer clear of this dated venue that is seemingly selling the same food they did in the 80s with 2024 pricing. To add insult to injury, despite everything that went wrong, when I addressed it at the end of the meal, the waiter thought it was a good idea to argue with me instead of do anything, literally anything to salvage the experience. Awful.
