June 2024This was a last minute booking. Had been before COVID and although we didn't really like the bar and breakfast areas, we did like the location. On arrival we were delighted to see a fantastic upgrade to the lobby and bar with the addition of a sumptuous new restaurant. Really now much more of a destination hotel. The rooms are large and bright with comfy mattresses and pillows and the bathrooms have both bath and shower. The car park is large with plenty of spaces. Although a little bit further out of the centre than some hotels Cedar Court is quiet, opposite a lovely park and within a 5-10 minutes walk into the town. The only thing we don't like, probably as we are older and grew up with more customer- service based hotels, is the self service check in. There are staff around to help if need be but there is nothing more welcoming than a friendly face behind the reception. You can't replace hospitality with a computer; but sadly those days are gone.

June 2024The hotels absolutely beautiful so clean the only trouble was the menu the vegetarian meals wasn't very appealing I didn't fancy eating a whole dish of ratatouille as a vegetarian meal the cauliflower cheese contained nuts so that was out of the question salad every night on the menu would have been nice for vegetarians that didn't like the meals. And the way they found what meals belongs to what person was hilarious . But the soup was lovely .

May 2024Had Sunday lunch. Good menu but side dishes were cold. Food dry and quite tasteless. Pity because hotel is really nice with friendly staff

April 2024Positives first, location great, parking easy, staff were friendly and bar/restaurant were nicely renovated. Negatives, room was very different to what booked, looked very tired, barely any plugs and it took 3 requests to get a camp bed for my child even though was part of the booking didn't get it til 8pm. For the price paid i expect some basics that just didn't get and after a 5hr drive made it all disappointing.
