Novotel Birmingham Centre, William Hollins

The hotel common areas are very luxurious and are a great place to spend some time, as we did with our wider family. The rooms are standard Novotel - maybe slightly on the small side and starting to age slightly but still good. The standout part of the hotel is the staff - everyone would stop for a chat and be really interested in helping us or hearing what we were up to. This cannot be an accident, they are really well hired as this doesn't feel like training - they are so genuine in their interactions. From the reception to the bar and restaurant everyone made us feel super-welcome; we would definitely rebook again.

We come to Birmingham a fair bit, but this was the first time at Novotel. I am disabled - we parked in the car park - and a lovely member of staff called George helped me into the lift. We went though check in and then through fire safety as I use a wheelchair. Then George helped my wife and me to our room. Because I need a little extra space, the manager upgraded us to a slightly bigger room with a bathroom more suited to my needs. Lovely clean and comfortable room with a massive TV! Went to the bar in the evening where Jay mixed us some great cocktails. Breakfast was also great - with lots of help from the staff. Over all - a really great stay - we will come again! Highly recommend.

We had an excellent night stay over the bank holiday weekend. The staff were extremely professional and friendly from when we checked in to when we had a drink at the bar in the evening. We were also very happy with our room. It had a free safe and a mini fridge, coffee making facilities, good size tv, nice bathroom and a comfy bed. Our daughter was on the fold out settee bed that was also very comfortable. We will definitely book again. Excellent price, Very good location, Comfortable, Friendly,
