The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the station. The staff is friendly, breakfast is great. They also have their own bar and restaurant. Hotel is right in front of the river so great river views. I was staying in the suite. The room was clean and well facilitated. All the electricals were working well. Overall it is great value for money and affordable. Highly recommended.

This was our second stay at the Copthorne and we will certainly be making more visits. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the accommodation was excellent. Our suite was well furnished and had great views along the river - the hotel’s position on the river front makes this a great location for views and also for access to all the bars, restaurants and galleries. The handy parking with direct access from the hotel lobby is a definite plus. Keep up the good work.

Some reviews say this place is dated, but I found I had a great experience here. Brilliant location right on the river Tyne with floor to ceiling windows, short walk from Newcastle rail station.Best most comfortable sleep in great bed. Easy to reach the city centre on foot but it is up a ramped/ stepped climb. Really lovely promenade right outside the hotel rear, and really nice friendly service by reception and restaurant staff. Only 1 drawback was no room service was available. I do, however, plan to return.

From the moment I arrived, the Hotel impressed me. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. My room was exactly what I needed - clean, tidy, and comfortable. But the true star of the show was the view! Gazing out the window at the river was breathtaking. The view was truly awe-inspiring, and I spent many peaceful moments just relaxing and enjoying the scenery. Even though it wasn't a balcony, the large window offered a perfect frame for the stunning river vista. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway, a relaxing solo trip, or a base to explore the city, this is a perfect choice. The combination of friendly staff, a clean and comfortable room, and that incredible river view makes it a place I would highly recommend.

Lobby, restaurant and hallways all very clean and modern. Our room however was nice and clean but there was a very bad patchy repair to the bath which made us dubious to use it, the wardrobe door had obviously been broken off around the hinges but just been glued back together making it difficult to shut. The room just came across as unloved and dated which is a shame as everything else was 5*. Staff were kind and courteous and the breakfast covered everything from a full English to continental with an array of fresh juices to hot teas and coffees.
