Flight Club Edinburgh, Semi- Private Space - "The Heather"

A great experience from start to finish. We went on late Wednesday afternoon in early January but it wasn’t quiet. No problem seating or getting served but there was an hour’s wait for the first board to become available. That worked out perfectly for us as we wanted to eat. First surprise was that the food was better than expected. It was prepared with care and cooked to perfection. We had burgers for mains and a side of Yorkshire puddings filled with shredded beef. The side salads were fresh and well presented and the sweet potato fries (and regular) were spot-on. All the staff were wonderful, quick, attentive and friendly. We got a 90 minute darts session which was probably about 30 minutes longer than we needed but for more than two players, I’d say 60 mins would have been a bit of a squeeze. The games were varied enough to keep the interest up and allow for differing skill levels. The video clips and interactive displays as well as the emailed clips and run down of the games was a fantastic addition. We’ll be back.

A bit of confusion at the start as we directed to the wrong darts area but staff were very apologetic. Staff were all amazingly friendly. Food menu was limited but tasted lovely and portions were very generous. Only downside I found was the lights seem to flicker and dim before suddenly brightening up. This was very distracting esp when trying to eat in the darker light. Not sure if lights were reacting to the music. Music DJ played a really good selection of tracks for all ages which added to the mood of the place. The games were really well instructed and very fun to play. You really don't need to be a good player to enjoy it or to feel encluded in the game. Well worth a visit.
