Superb hotel in beautiful Yorkshire. I stayed at Hollins Hall extensively in the early 2000's. It was welcome tranquility after the hectic work office. The staff were always friendly, and often went 'above and beyond' with making my stay as comfortable as possible. I used the leisure club facilities almost daily, with a good sized swimming pool, large hot tub, steam room and sauna. There's also a large gym, although I personally didn't use it (not my thing; it looks well equipped). All are excellently maintained. Meals were superb, with a lovely breakfast buffet and dinner at one of two restaurants. Those restaurants have been refurbished and renamed in more recent years, but still offer good menus. The rooms are well appointed, being well sized with quality linens. Marriott keep the technology up to date, and you can pair your devices with the TV for beter audio and 'big screen' video. Apparently, Alexa will be arriving at some point too, for voice controlled AV and hotel services. With a 15 year gap after staying there extensively, I returned for a family event in nearby Leeds. Incredibly, when I called to confirm a room type, the lady who answered - Susanne - remembered me... that's 15 years later and she still remembered me. Two things come out of that for me: the staff genuinely valued and cared for my stay at Hollins Hall, and also the work environment is such that staff stay for over 15 years (apparently 19 years in the case of Susanne). There can't be a better commendation for a hotel. Keep it up, Hollins Hall!!! I'm thoroughly looking forward to coming again... hopefully sooner than in 15 years' time!

We booked a very cheap room, which had a good bed and large TV. We selected this hotel as we wanted air-con, but our room only had a cheap fan. Bit odd that four stars do not meet this rather simple requirement. Didn't use the other facilities, but they appeared to be extensive.

We took our family (4 adults and two teenagers) for a weekend at this hotel; we had a lovely time and the rooms were spacious and quite luxurious. The staff were excellent ad the reception staff were especially helpful. We all dined in the restaurant, excellent food, but it would have been better if some of starters were a little lighter, prawns or salmon would have been appreciated rather than Yorkshire Pudding and beef brisket, and the said pudding was enormous, the person who ordered it then struggled with his generous main course. Apart from that It was a wonderful dining experience. Unfortunately I booked this hotel before the change from Marriott to Britannia and when I had to make a small change in the party the phone call was very expensive, so be aware. Marriott informed me that we could have extra beds in the large rooms, sadly Britannia said no, as it says on their web site, so we had to book another room, it was a little disappointing to walk into a room with an extra bed in it and another room that had a large bed sofa; we were offered a refund if we wanted to cancel one of the rooms but it was getting a little late in the day to turf somebody out of their room. We did have £50 knocked off the bill. The issues I have discussed would not deter us from visiting this superb hotel again. Thank you
