The Great Tythe Barn, Barn Hire

The Great Tythe Barn has been one of the Cotswolds leading event venues since 1995 and has hosted a significant number of Weddings, Ceremonies and Parties. The venue hosts all types of events formal and informal, party or ceremonial, a venue to celebrate all lives and loves.
The Great Tythe Barn & Tythe House are the perfect location for your event, whether it’s a large or small event we can facilitate!

The Great Tythe Barn features a singular large space than can be divided into two spaces. The Tythe House’s Orangery lends itself to a smaller gathering of a more familiar nature.

Beautifully and sympathetically restored yet still retaining its special character, the Barn is discreetly lit to create an intimate ambience, and yet it can cater for up to 200 seated guests. Imagine a magical day spent sipping champagne on the lawns, surrounded by your family and friends, sitting in our banqueting hall with guests taking photographs from the galleries, whilst enjoying a delicious meal prepared one of our caterers.

Within the grounds, and paces from the barn, are 10 self-catering cottages, 12 Bed and Breakfast rooms, and The Tythe House, providing accommodation for up 90
guests. Book your wedding here and book the accommodation at the same time. Why just enjoy one day that goes so quickly when you can create a wedding weekend?

If you live further afield, The Great Tythe Barn is the answer for a complete package. Bring all your family and friends the night before, join together in our superb
self-catering cottages, and know that everyone is ready to attend the wedding the next day, and because the Great Tythe Barn is licensed for Civil Ceremonies there is no
need to leave the grounds all weekend.

The site is on level ground and the ground floor is accessible to disabled guests, along with one of the B&B rooms specially adapted for wheelchair users, and several of
our cottages are also suitable for the less abled guests. Secure, off-road parking for 100 cars is adjacent to the Barn.

For couples choosing a Civil Wedding we have 3 areas of the Barn. Shipton, designated as a licensed area for up to 80 guests, or equally attractive but
a little cosier is an area called Newnton, licensed for smaller ceremonies, up to 65 guests. Alternatively, for larger gatherings we have an area called
Estcourt, which is licensed for up to 200 guests. The GTB is also available for all types of events formal or informal, party or ceremonial. We
would be more than happy to accommodate all requests in regard to the use of the venue for a multitude of events, celebrations of lives and love.

Whatever you choose - traditional, relaxed, church wedding or civil ceremony - included with the Great Tythe Barn you will receive the full
attention of one of our Wedding Co-ordinators, who will happily help you to create the type of Wedding you want, however large or
small.

Renew your vows, or choose a more informal Wedding attended by your closest family and friends. The Tythe House’s Orangery makes a wonderful venue for a more intimate wedding that begins in the twilight and continues throughout the evening. What begins with the formality of the exchanging of the vows becomes a relaxed affair as guests celebrate within the less formal surrounds of both the Orangery and Tythe House.
