The Great Tythe Barn has been one of the Cotswolds leading event venues since 1995 and has hosted a significant number of Weddings, Ceremonies and Parties. The venue hosts all types of events formal and informal, party or ceremonial, a venue to celebrate all lives and loves.
The Great Tythe Barn & Tythe House are the perfect location for your event, whether it’s a large or small event we can facilitate!

Whether it’s a business or a family & friends event, the self contained event spaces will accommodate all your requirements.

The Great Tythe Barn features a singular large space than can be divided into two spaces. The Tythe House’s Orangery lends itself to a smaller gathering of a more familiar nature.

Beautifully and sympathetically restored yet still retaining its special character, the Barn is discreetly lit to create an intimate ambience, and yet it can cater for up to 200 seated guests. Imagine a magical day spent sipping champagne on the lawns, surrounded by your family and friends, sitting in our banqueting hall with guests taking photographs from the galleries, whilst enjoying a delicious meal prepared one of our caterers.

An elegant Cotswold Manor House built in the Queen Anne, William and Mary style circa 1700 that was sympathetically restored in 2009. The house retains its
Country identity whilst possessing both character and charm. The Tythe House has been the home of the Benton Family for over two generations.

Enter the house through the solid oak front door, step into the hallway and choose from one of the two spacious ground floor reception rooms one formal, the other
more relaxed in tone. The well appointed kitchen holds a contemporary feel whilst featuring modern appliances including an electric Aga. Dine in one of three
locations; the intimate formal surrounding of the dining room with its oak furniture, entertain family and friends in the Orangery or al fresco on the patio.

Ascend the stairs and discover on the first floor, four ensuite well proportioned bedrooms furnished in a traditional but elegant style. Climb a further staircase and find a
further four bedrooms in the attic, low beams and characterful, ensuite contemporary styled bedrooms.

There is a less formal atmosphere in the Orangery and as it is licensed for Weddings Ceremonies, many couples choose the location to renew their vows or say ‘I do’ at
their Twilight Wedding.

It is also a great venue for any kind of celebration, celebrating Life and Love and can accommodate 40-50 seated diners.

Caterers and entertainers can be contracted to provide your guests with delightful cuisines and memorable entertainment.

Stayed two nights in the double bed self catering cottages, one of three that have been recently refurbished. Lovely site with plenty of parking. Made to feel very welcome by the owners and staff on our arrival. The whole cottage has central heating, however, the spacious kitchen/living area also has a new wood burning fire (that I must admit I didn’t try to light but everything you need is supplied). Really nice window seat makes a perfect spot for reading/thinking. Lovely double bedroom with plenty of storage was perfect for our weekend away. Nice shower with rain head (and regular shower option if you don’t fancy that). The site is about a ten minute walk from Tetbury itself, easily accessible via a well-lit path to the main road. Will definitely stay here again if I get the opportunity. For us this was the perfect spot for a much-needed rest and also easy exploring (Cirencester is 11 mile/20 minutes away)

Rosie, Rhoda, Tracey, Jac and the rest of the team at The Great Tythe Barn in Tetbury were absolutely fantastic and we whole heartedly recommend them and their wedding venue. We got married in late August, renting the venue, the Tythe House and most of their accommodation for our wedding. From start to finish, as a team, they all made our day seamless, without any troubles or faults, relaxed and enjoyable - exactly as we planned and wanted it to go. The venue is beautiful and very photogenic with all the gardens, surrounding fields, the Tythe House and the barn itself. The Tythe House and all of the accommodation is brilliant - everyone slept well, enjoyed themselves and no one had any complaints - this is exactly what we wanted and the reason we booked, so that everyone could stay on site and enjoy themselves. The barn is wonderful - we did want to get married outside, and this was one of the reasons for booking the Tythe Barn as you can get married outside. However, due to the variable weather this summer (August 2023) we all agreed it best to have our ceremony inside. This worked perfectly and didn’t detract from the day at all, as the inside of the barn is beautiful anyway. We still got a lot of the photos outside and used the grounds when it stopped raining. The organisation of the day was impeccable and all the possible stress was taken away by Rosie and the team on the day, leaving us to enjoy our wedding day. All of the staff at the Tythe Barn worked brilliantly with our caterers, photographer, magician and so on - they really are fantastic. We have no criticisms what so ever - we are truly grateful and pleased that we decided on the Tythe Barn. Keep doing what you all do so well - thank you all very much!
