More than 100m above ground level on floor 31 of London Bridge’s statement building, Aqua Shard has the views to make your Christmas party the talk of the town. Its contemporary British cuisine might be a clue to the possible themes of its festive events. There’s a private dining room for 22 if your party’s an exclusive one or there’s the Gin Wing, with space for 100 covers, for larger gatherings. Its little sister, the Tea Wing is able to entertain up to 150 if guests are happy to stand. Hire out the whole place and you get space for 180 diners or a stand-up reception for twice as many.

October 2021A superb dining experience with a spectacular view. We visited Hutong to celebrate my wife's birthday. Everything was perfect. The food was amazing. Service was perfect thanks to Jason our waiter who made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be returning.

March 2021Fantastic views over the city skyline. Lucky to get a window table. Noodles, tofu and dumplings really good. I like the sauce on the tofu. The veg rice is a bit excessively expensive. Tasty desserts. Polite servers. Looking forward to coming back.

October 2021Hutong restaurant. A wonderful experience. My wife and I had lunch at Hutong to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The food was sensational. Top quality cooking and perfect size portions. We were given a window seat looking over London. Amazing. Our experience was made absolutely perfect by Jason, our waiter. This Chinese young man was so helpful and friendly. He described the dishes to us and showed so much passion for the food and guests. We were made to feel really special. The 2 hour time slot wizzed by in no time. We will definitely return. Thank you Jason. Thank you Hutong. Brilliant.

October 2021Visited 3 years ago, was very happy all round. However, when we came back yesterday, we found that some aspects let this restaurant down. One of the main issues was the lighting. We felt as if they had used the same emergency lights as the ones on an aircraft. We also found the menu to be extremely limited for a high end restaurant. However, the food that we ordered did have an authentic taste and was lovely but portions quite small. Views were great and service was also good, the waiter was very attentive 👍🏼

September 2021Went to Hutong for lunch with my mum. The staff at the entrance were super friendly and professional. It all started to go down hill with the waiter. He was not friendly nor professional at all. The service was not one for that kind of restaurant. We have been to the Aquaneva where we received amazing and professional service. The Hutong should not be at the Shard, the service does not suit. The food was good however all our dishes were just served all at once, starters and mains. 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️ The serving staff look sad, over worked and underpaid. You can see and feel it in the atmosphere. The only thing that saves this place is the amazing view
