The Hotel AMANO Covent Garden is the first international hotel from the Berlin-based AMANO Group. Situated in the heart of Covent Garden, the hotel is conveniently close to some of the capital's finest theatres, boutiques, restaurants, and pubs. Like the brand's other hotels, Hotel AMANO in London is known for its high-quality design, a welcoming atmosphere, and unique food and beverage concepts.
In each of its 141 rooms, you'll find a blend of clean lines and contemporary colours. Earthy tones, dark accents, and golden design elements give the hotel its distinctive "AMANO look". For a touch of luxury, the Goldy Rooms feature their own freestanding golden bathtubs with city views, while other room categories include Cosy, Comfy, and Roomy. Liveliness is also a key element here: dishes are meant for sharing, and a DJ ensures a great atmosphere throughout the weekend.
AMANO's renowned restaurant, Penelope's, offers a unique culinary journey that blends the flavours of Spain and Israel. This restaurant presents a thoughtfully crafted menu influenced by Ariel Schiff, AMANO's co-founder, who has roots in both Tel Aviv and southern Spain. Indulge in family-style dishes like our twist on Paella, Israeli-style, featuring tenderly cooked octopus, frekkeh, and a gin-tomato sauce. Conclude your meal with our signature Baklava cheesecake, served with a drizzle of pistachio and honey syrup.
At Penelope's, each plate and drink served promises an imaginative gastronomic adventure. On weekends, our music lineup includes DJs, allowing you to dine, sip, and dance the night away. The restaurant accommodates up to 150 guests, with raised platforms, cosy corners, and spacious booths. For those heading to the theatre, we offer a new pre-theatre menu featuring our favourite dishes. And remember, you'll always find the best prices on amanogroup.de.

Stayed at Amano for 1 night this weekend while in town for a friends birthday. Absolutely fantastic hotel, location-wise couldn’t have been better. The rooms were beautifully appointed and the staff went above and beyond. The roof bar accommodated us for a party of 12 last minute and the vibe up there is brilliant, and in the morning breakfast was also excellent. We will be back

Had a one night stay here. Went up to the rooftop bar for a drink in the early evening which was very nice. Rooms were modern and clean. The bed was very wide and comfortable. Very convenient for theatre land.

Location is the only redeeming feature. Small room, very basic. Very uncomfortable single bed for our son in the triple room we booked. Came back after seeing a show to enjoy a cocktail in the outdoor roof garden but were denied entry for a drink as we were 10 minutes after their 10.15pm last seating. Seriously!! What a joke. £372 for one night.

I can only give a 5-star rating for the location of the hotel. Other than that, I was very disappointed with the room size and wasn’t worth the amount of money we paid to stay there. The room was literally big enough to fit a king sized bed in, there was no closet but rather had hangers right above the draw where they placed the kettle, which wasn’t an appropriate place so we had to boil the kettle right underneath where we hung up our coats. The bathroom was stylish but design was impractical, there was no shower door so everytime we took a shower, water would flow outside of the cubicle. We had to place down towels to prevent water from flowing further towards the sink area. The receptionists were unwelcoming and did minimal to help. I was expecting at least a smile from them when we came to check in but looked like they were just working for their wage. We also found ourselves being woken up at the early hours of the morning by noisy guests so we didn’t get much sleep during our stay. A thumbs down for the noise.
