The Buttery is one of the most well known restaurants in Scotland - a real Glaswegian institution. We took over in 2007 to create Two Fat Ladies at the Buttery. It has the relaxed old-school feel of a by-gone era. The atmosphere is unrivalled - you just won't want to leave!
One of Glasgow’s best-loved and most enduring restaurants, the Buttery has gone from strength to strength since becoming part of the Two Fat Ladies group.
The interior celebrates formal Scottish luxury, with oak and mahogany, stained glass and tartan carpet bringing a unique intimate feel to the bar and the dining room, whilst still keeping a relaxed atmosphere.

Great dinner in Glasgow. I reserved a table at this restaurant following many positive reviews, and it was true. The restaurant is very nice and the staff is very welcoming. All dishes cooked to perfection at a reasonable price. Highly recommended

First visit to this exceptional restaurant, wont be the last. I would go so far as rating it my favourite restaurant. Ambience - quality. Food - exquisite. Service - outstanding. Thank you Ryan and your team.

One of my best Scottish restaurants experience! I highly appreciate how they were considerate in making the dishes alcohol free for us. All the meals were delicious from the soup to the desserts. Even the staff of the restaurant, they’re all so nice and welcoming. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Glasgow!

Really tasty Scottish fare, the Highland venison was exquisite. Delicious desserts. Fancy location, tastefully decorated. Late evening reservation Lost in our own world for much of the evening as we’d finally gotten to celebrate our Anniversary due to busy schedules However, service noticeably rushed and mildly passive aggressive by the end, we were the last patrons. Marred the experience.
