Set on the riverside at the edge of the historic market town of Nailsworth, the Eygpt Mill Hotel and Restaurant has a friendly, laid-back atmosphere, making it an ideal place to spend your special day with friends and family.
The 16th Century mill sits in beautifully maintained water gardens and the private lawn is the perfect setting for your guests to enjoy drinks and canapés.
Our team offer a completely flexible approach and our wedding co-ordinator will ensure all the details are tailored to you, giving you the day of your dreams.
We are licensed to hold civil ceremonies and can accommodate up to 90 people. Our function suite holds 110 for a sit-down reception and 150 for your evening party.
Our chefs will cook delicious food for your guests, allowing you to select from a range of menus to suite your taste.
In the evening, you will have complimentary use of the bridal suite, whilst your guests will be offered a discounted rate on our 32 en-suite rooms.
The Egypt Mill Hotel and Restaurant has ample of free parking and is within easy reach of Bath, Bristol Gloucester, Cheltenham and Swindon, making it ideal for any travelling guests.

May 2024We got married here 16 years ago and have been back several times since for drinks and food. Lovely, romantic and beautiful setting with delicious food! The gentleman who greeted us kindly offered us complimentary Prosecco to celebrate our anniversary. The venue is just as stunning now as it was on our wedding day. It’s lovely to reminisce the memories of our day.

April 2024Rooms were very clean and well equipped. The beds were extremely comfortable and a great night sleep. Breakfast was amazing and very tasty. Will definitely book here again when we come to the area. Location was stunning with a nice river running through (you couldn’t hear it in the rooms)

May 2024For a nice place to sit and have a relaxing drink I couldn't fault the place. The staff were friendly, and helpful. The food however left a lot to be desired the meat was undercooked the food was tepid at best and it lacked any flavour. Considering the prices they are asking I would go as far as to say I have had a better macdonalds. Extremely disappointing.

May 2024Very disappointing. Booked breakfast for 35 people, pre-ordered food and paid a deposit yet still orders were wrong, food arrived slow and sporadically, with some finished before others even got theirs. Portions were small for the cost, and the pancakes looked and tasted like they were from a packet. The full English breakfast was quite tasty although some of the orders had missing elements. The waiting staff were working hard and tried to correct the issues although many tables did not have drinks orders taken at the start. Would not recommend.
