Went to lunch for mums birthday yesterday, it was our first experience in botanist. Food was hot and delicious. Price was bang on. Jemma was brilliant had a brownie on her with a candle for mum it was a great touch. Definitely one of my favourite on the list for a get together. Ambience and deco was spot on.

We came here for my graduation meal and I was given a complimentary cocktail! I recommend the pineapple punch cocktail! The food was amazing, the staff were lovely and restaurant looks incredible! We had the original chicken kebabs, the salt & pepper pork belly kebab and the dirty chicken burger. For dessert we had the banoffee sundae and the crunchie cookie dough 🤤

A nice and chic restaurant housed separately from the main St James Quarter shopping mall. No live music on Tuesday night but we enjoyed our quiet dinner in the glass block area on the first floor. Food and cocktail were tasty and very well presented. Very central location in Edinburgh City.

We enjoyed the food and ambience. We were slightly disappointed that the menu is reduced on Sundays but still managed to pick something. Staff were friendly and efficient. There's also a lovely beer garden at the entrance which is perfect for after lunch drinks. However,we were a bit puzzled at first as there was no one greeting us and explaining how everything works. We had to ask one of the barmen to find out that the food is served upstairs and the ground floor is the bar area. I think putting some kind of signage would help a lot. Fyi they add a tip to the final bill.
