December 2023Fantastic food, fantastic venue, fantastic staff. Will definitely be back! This was my 2nd visit and will be back. We won't talk about the first visit publicly. Only thing I will say is they came through and made the visit worthwhile and felt welcome. For starters I had the Crispy Mushrooms which were amazing. I was a little apprehensive ordering these are they are coated I polenta but they were delicious. For main course I had the ribeye steak which was cooked to perfection (medium rare). The steak was served with chunky chips but I opted for fries instead, these were seasoned correctly. The steak was served with peppercorn sauce and then an optional extra of salt and pepper onion petal, this was incredible and will order again next time regardless of what I order. For dessert I had the affogato which was heaven in a bowl ... I don't think I'll order anything different for dessert next time.

April 2024Lovely place, friendly and unobtrusive service. They serve tea in teapots, have good selection of edible and non-junk food, non-irritating music, clean anf tidy, large panoramic windows make it possible to enjoy any Scottish weather in warmth and comfort with friends and beloved dogs.

December 2023Stopped for drinks at this very spacious yet cost feeling bar and restaurant. Low lighting and lots of foliage create a really lovely atmosphere and the drinks were very good. The staff were friendly and cocktails came very quickly. The glasses were a little too heavy on the ice and light on actual booze to warrant 5 stars but overall this is a nice place to drink with plenty of comfort seating and good service.

September 2023The restaurant was spacious and nicely decorated, both food and services were good, though not among the best. Their signature hanging kebab looked great, we ordered the giant piri piri chicken which the meat itself was juicy but lacked a bit of the charred flavour, and the “sauce” was actually a paste so it simply couldn’t drop from the top of the hang. The cheeseburger was surprisingly better, good beef patty came with a tasty truffle mustard mayo. For dessert we had the sharing cookie dough, and really loved the giant hot cookie dough with fluid chocolate filling, though the compliments were relatively ordinary. They made fancy cocktails which the couple we had were both too sweet and seemed not as much alcohol content as we hoped. It was a Saturday afternoon, there was live music and although our seat was on the first floor away from the central void, it still appeared to be a bit noisy.

January 2024Food was amazing, service was shocking. There was clearly an issue with staff numbers. We waited 20 minutes before giving our drinks order (including asking for a glass of water). When the drinks came they were incorrect. The starters didn’t take too long, but it was another 30 minutes before the main was served. We were not checked on during the meal and when I asked for more drinks it took another 20 minutes (by which time we’d finished our meal and needed to leave). The bill then came with service charge included!! All in I would recommend, but be prepared to wait.
