Absolutely loved our visit here, even though we turned up quite late in the day, still managed to fit most of the attraction in. The boat is incredible, the fact that you can go on board and wander freely throughout, is just fabulous. I recommend going to see the fighting ships presentation first, that will help you visualise the different parts of the ship and how they were used The fighting ships presentation was excellent, the sights and sounds really gave you a feeling of what it must have been like. The dock area is full of different types of shops and amenities that would've serviced the ships at that time. Each one is full of fascinating facts, lots of hands on things to do, loads to learn and each with its own selection of wax works models to help bring the scene to life. There is a coffee shop as well which we didn't manage to visit and also more child friendly areas for the smaller visitors. The shop is well stocked, lots of very nice bits and pieces. We loved our visit and would definitely recommend it.

What a great ship! This is a lovely little ecosystem including excursions around the harbour. My 14 year old son was engrossed and even my wife was interested. Although it was a quiet weekend, there was still some Hussle around and the cannon firing was a highlight. I want to go back during an event as I can imagine it will be even more fun. Stayed from 10 untill 12 for a very leisurely few hours on a Saturday. Great value as the ticket lasts 1 year. Looking forward to going back.

This is a little hidden gem of a place! We didn't realise when we walked in just how much there was to do. The ship is fantastic and you can freely walk round it and explore 4 different levels. Then on the outside of the boat there are lots of houses/shops to go in with waxwork people and lots of information to read. There is a lovely cafe, an indoor play area with air powered cannons that shoot foam balls, there is a play park and the staff are very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. We also watched a demonstration of a real cannon being fired. All in all we were really pleased we decided to come and tickets are valid for 12 months so you can return for a year!

What a great day out this is, big ol' boat, tones of history to read up on. The boat is excellent but watch your head. And the buildings round the outside give you a feel for the docks, with some very life-like mannequins on display. There's a cafe kids play area and playground. Really enjoyed it, ticket valid for 12 months so you can come back and use it again 👍😁

Lovely outing, lots to see. Even had a tour of the ship Trincomalee, strange to see how the sailors lived in such cramped condition. There was an opportunity to see the weapons used on the ship including a pistol which was fired by the guy doing the demonstration. Great for young and old. Buy a ticket and it lasts for a year, was only £12 for adults.
