Set in the heart of Cheshire, Mere Court Hotel was originally built as a wedding present for William and Amy Dunkerley in 1903. It has now been lovingly restored into a 4 star country house hotel, award winning events venue with an AA rosette restaurant.
Within 7 acres of landscaped gardens and grounds with a private lake, the hotel offers ambience and rural tranquility despite being only 8 minutes for Manchester Airport and with easy reach of the motorway networks to Manchester, Liverpool and Chester.
The original house was individually designed and furnished, featuring luxury bedrooms including 2 four poster suites and wonderful views across the grounds. We have 35 bedrooms in total, 10 of these which are feature rooms and another 20 executive lakeside rooms. Our 35th room is a two-bedroom lodge which is located next to our conference centre. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen/dining and living area.
The original coach house has been transformed in to a dedicated Conference centre with light, air-conditioned rooms, a welcoming coffee lounge, free wi-fi and plenty of outside space for team-building. We also have meeting rooms available in the main house.
Our modern and versatile facilities can accommodate upto 150 delegates and the rooms can be laid out in a variety of layouts to meet individual requirements.

April 2024Went for a meal here ahead of our wedding in July and the food and drinks were lovely. The staff are truly outstanding, they were so attentive during the meal and everyone from reception, waiting staff and our wedding planner have gone above and beyond. June 2024Absolutely loved the afternoon tea here. We had an amazing view out into the gardens from our window table, the sandwiches were really good and there was a nice selection. The cakes were to die for especially the homemade scones. Loved all the details that just made the afternoon tea a little more special. The staff couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely be coming back for afternoon tea and after looking around the grounds we love the idea of a wedding venue too

May 2024Went to an event here. Gorgeous grounds but not enough parking. Friendly attentive staff. Nice (expensive) drinks. Lovely 3 course meal. Event (murder mystery) was fabulous, highly entertaining and memorable night.

May 2024Stunning venue from the exterior. I was extremely embarrassed because I booked this place for a meeting with my new CEO and some clients. Booked for a work event. Staff were rude to us and to our clients. We paid for welcome drinks but weren't served when we arrived, kept telling us we were in the wrong meeting room when we were just following the instructions on the email we received. The hotel room was not fit to be rented out. Leaks and damaged. I filled out an accident form before I left and a maintenance log of everything that needed repairing. The receptionist told me they had complaints about the room before but they are still renting it out for full price. The hotel have arranged for a refund due to the numerous problems.
