Booked the Main boardroom here recently. Was a very nice space, lovely character, feels like a proper boardroom. A warm welcome from reception was nice and booking was relatively easy. Whilst using the fun however, a few things other places do better. No notepads or pens provided. The tables that have been pushed together were all at different heights and a bit damaged in places. No power at the tables, so difficult to run laptops without having them plugged in at the edge (no extensions either). Coffee machines intermittently working. It's an old building so it was quite cold, however there were fans provided that were good - just too loud to have on whilst presenting so ended up trying to warm up in breaks. All in all, would use the chamber space again, but maybe caveat that with requesting a different room/specifically requesting the things you would expect in a meeting room.

Free to use spaces for Chamber members, and hot drinks! Many rooms of various sizes and facilities also available to hire at great rates. Every time I visit, always a pleasure to chat with the Chamber team, very knowable and helpful. Weekly and monthly events to support businesses, resources and services. Well worth joining the 4200 strong GM businesses. A community of engaging businesses.
