We visited Hakkasan Mayfair on 9th September at 9.30pm, the reservation was under my name Alvaro. This was a special evening as it was our sixteenth wedding anniversary and following the last eighteen months and recent family situations we have been in personally we were looking forward to visiting Hakkasan as it had come recommended to us by an extremely well known chef and close friend of ours of another restaurant in London. We arrived in excitement, were greeted and told to grab a drink at the bar while our table was being prepared where we had a cocktail each and toasted to our anniversary and a lovely night ahead. We were then greeted a second time and shown to our table. Our server was willing but very abrupt in talking to us and taking our order and also explaining the menu to us, we were persuaded eventually to go for the set menu for £110 per person and signature duck dish, which may I add was the best thing that we ordered all night. The set menu was bland and we felt it was recommended to us as a ‘quick fix’ to get us out of the restaurant and also had very little flavour. Appreciated it was a busy evening however we had waited for a long time for the experience and opportunity to visit Hakkasan only to be treated the way we were, hurried along to eat and get out and also have a member of staff serve us that really did not want to be there. I have worked as a waitress and know only too well how much of a painful job it can be however you have to remain professional and remember that the experience is not for you but is for someone else to enjoy. Not everyone visiting the restaurant is a celebrity or footballer, there are normal people as well that just like to dine at nice places but may not be bale to do this regularly. My wife work in a customer service related industry and would not dream of treating to talking clients the we were treated on that evening, no matter their situation or amount of money they are spending. Our meal may not have been the most expensive that Hakkasan has ever seen however £375 on one meal and less than an hour at the table is not ‘chicken feed’ by any means. We were hoping that this meal would make up for a very stressful and sad time that we have been through recently and truth be told out of the many top and Michelin-starred restaurants that we have been to, with respect a lot of them nicer than Hakkasan, this has to be the worst service I have received ever.

Not my first time dining here so knew what to expected and I was not disappointed. Staff were extremely accommodating although we were late for our booking. Food was great and cocktails fabulous as per. My go to cocktails are the Hakka and the floating goddess! The only thing I must say is the tables by the window are so close together. I am quite slim and really had to squeeze to get to my seat without disturbing the neighbour guests.

Caviar was terrible - food ok - service waiter waitresses very good

Hakkasan is great no matter where you are. The food is always best quality. The menu variety is perfect with something for all tastes. The drink menus is also great. You have try the fried duck salad, their best dish in my opinion. The dark vibe makes it perfect for a romantic date, business dinner or a special occasion celebration. Reservation needed.

The ambience is non existent (too loud without actually hearing any music) The food quality is good, but nothing special. In fact there is a big discrepancy from one dish to another in terms of its quality. Service is above average but nothing special. Price? north of 120 pp. I am having a hard time justifying this to myself given the above
