Just spent Christmas here on a coach holiday. First class service. Friendly and welcoming. Rooms very clean and well serviced by friendly staff. Any problems promptly dealt with. Food well presented in nice atmosphere. Lounge and bar area well maintained and serviced by friendly staff. Special thanks to the management for choosing such excellent entertainment that helped make our Christmas special. (Except not playing Jenifer Rush) Kathy and John

Nice stay at the holiday inn. Great location for what we needed rooms clean and spacious. Only advice is take your own snacks it was 6.90 for 2 packs of crisps and 2 whispers. There is a Toby carvery down the road best one I have been to .

We decided to stay here with our dog, upon check in the reception stated that we could not stay in a king room with the dog but a double room is just as nice so agreed. Paid extra for the dog to stay which wasn’t an issue. Room was very dated and needs updating, could tell that this is a room they stick all the dog owners in. Bed and pillows very uncomfortable didn’t have a good night sleep in both of our nights stay. Breakfast - very nice and a wide verity, this was the best part of our stay, Dinner - was edible however very overpriced, burger and a wrap with a few cokes £60! Second night we popped to Toby Carvery 2 mins away for a better meal for only £25 Overall for the price it’s very expensive, service was great however, I have stayed in better Travelodge rooms for a quarter of the price. Sorry but I don’t think we will be booking again.

Very pleased with stay. Nice clean room. Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast with large selection. Ideally situated for Beamish museum which is why we booked it. Approximately 12 minutes away by car.

Came here as part of a coach trip. Rooms were comfortable and the hotel was exceptionally clean. Food in the evening was a menu that you could choose from, 3 courses. Breakfast was exceptional, loads of Gluten Free options and a dedicated area/separate toaster. Outstanding. Would return if in the area again.
