Ashfield House is a luxury country house that is available on an exclusive hire basis for your special day with our beautiful ground floor layout and the 15 guest bedrooms for you to use as you please.
Our stunning and charming house can accommodate 130 of your guests for your ceremony and wedding breakfast, and up to 250 for your evening reception. We can also accommodate smaller weddings that can be held comfortably in one of our smaller reception rooms. No matter how intimate your day is, you will still have exclusive use of the house.
On your wedding day, you will be looked after by our small but knowledgeable and highly experienced family team that provide a friendly and personal service for you.
At Ashfield House, you can make use of our bridal sitting room to get ready in – a lovely start to your big day. Overlooking the gorgeous Douglas Valley and manicured gardens, this room is peaceful, elegantly decorated and is very practical with sofas, dressing tables and dress hooks. This room is yours for the night to relax in and to touch up your makeup!

May 2024As a wedding venue it was great, the staff were super helpful & the grounds were fantastic. The place really is quite beautiful. Fortunately we had great weather & we had a fantastic day. (We were guests) Only 2 concerns - hence the 4* - 1. Our room was quite small for £165/night and the bathroom definitely needed a bit of TLC 2. The coffee at breakfast was from a commercial urn. There’s no latte/cappuccino we were told. The room did have a Nespresso machine in it - so we had to grab a coffee from there, but you’d expect them to have a decent coffee machine in house.
