About Venue
Ashfield House is a luxury country house that is available on an exclusive hire basis for your special day with our beautiful ground floor layout and the 15 guest bedrooms for you to use as you please.
Our stunning and charming house can accommodate 130 of your guests for your ceremony and wedding breakfast, and up to 250 for your evening reception. We can also accommodate smaller weddings that can be held comfortably in one of our smaller reception rooms. No matter how intimate your day is, you will still have exclusive use of the house.
On your wedding day, you will be looked after by our small but knowledgeable and highly experienced family team that provide a friendly and personal service for you.
At Ashfield House, you can make use of our bridal sitting room to get ready in – a lovely start to your big day. Overlooking the gorgeous Douglas Valley and manicured gardens, this room is peaceful, elegantly decorated and is very practical with sofas, dressing tables and dress hooks. This room is yours for the night to relax in and to touch up your makeup!

Such a fantastic, well organised slick venue. We attended a wedding on a Thursday and it was a great event, due to the team at Ashfield House. All the staff are lovely and cannot do enough for you. There were staff everywhere and help was always at hand. We had an antipasti following the 4pm wedding and the food was great quality and tasted delicious. We also had the takeaway style meal later in the evening consisting of personal freshly made pizzas, fish and chips and burger and fries. All were excellent quality and tasted great. Another plus was the bar prices. They were slightly higher than a pub, but not extortionate like usual wedding venues. A perfect venue that made the wedding such a success. Thank you.

We had the most perfect wedding day here on Monday 1st September. Right from the beginning from our initial meeting to the actual day we can't fault the staff. They have an excellent team that looked after us and are guests so well. Ashfield House is a stunning place for weddings, you can personalise it to your own taste. The ceremony room is light and airy, and very beautiful. The food was outstanding and presentation was amazing. Beautiful grounds for outdoor photos. Stunning bedrooms. I want to do it all again 🤣😍💜
