It’s a great spot. I’ve been going for a few years and it is consistently fantastic. The menu changes, and so does the wine. A great date night, or a place to take friends. A must go.

Nice little wine bar / restaurant. We had a good time, but not sure we will come back. Dishes were quite surprising, especially the vegetable treatment. Looking at other reviews here, maybe it was just an off night. Good wine selection, although quite a few were sold out. Wine recommendations were quite lacking all in all. Service was pressing at first, and then became very slow, to the extent they came to clear our table and we asked what about the main we ordered. They came back and said that it’s going to take about 20 minutes, as it is a big fish and already started cooking. It ended up coming after 10, as the waitress said “it was quicker”. The plaice really under-cooked and we had to send it back. They did offer us complimentary dessert though. The place is not very big and gets quite loud.

Great food, unfortunately we had a really poor experience with the staff. We had made the original booking for 6 and at the last minute before our reservation, an extra person joined our party. As somebody who used to host and serve in restaurants, I understand this can be inconvenient with limited space but to have seen the staff members roll their eyes and throw us dirty looks was unwarranted. It made our extra guest feel very uncomfortable and guilty for a small change in plans. Even once we had paid and were putting our coats on to go (1 hour 45 mins after our booking time, even though the email said we'd have the table for 2 hours), one of the staff members unnecessarily told us we needed to leave immediately so the next booking could arrive. This just added to the unpleasant staff experience. The food was lovely and there was a great ambience but none of us feel welcome returning to this restaurant.
