Oxford House, in the heart of Bethnal Green has a range of unique rehearsal, meeting and performance spaces available for hire. Our Grade II listed building houses an intimate theatre with a sprung wooden floor, sound and lighting equipment and seating for 120. If additional space is required, the theatre comes with a dressing room and backstage bar. Our spacious Scott Room is ideal for theatre break out, wardrobe or hair and makeup, with large South facing windows and an adjoining door into the theatre. On the first floor there is a light and airy dance studio complete with a mirrored wall and audio equipment available to use. The secret Chapel on our third floor is a beautiful multi use space, perfect for recitals, dance, yoga and screenings. For smaller groups our Settlement Room lends itself perfectly for meetings, read throughs and interviews.

All of our rooms are fully accessible, natural light and WI-FI.

Oxford House is a short walk from both Bethnal Green tube and Bethnal Green over ground stations.
We have an onsite, licenced café and our catering team can provide a range of exceptional hot and cold food and beverages for your event. The café space is also available to hire.

Gorgeous cafe space, recently renovated and over looking Weavers Fields Park.

Really lovely space with a great vibe and friendly staff. Jazz on the last Friday of every month is amazing.

Amazing place, beautifully restored building, runs a series of music sessions on Fridays and occasionally very informative tours of the house. Really like the cafe in the building and they can make a mean vegan milkshake. Worth exploring, especially if someone is interested in the history of settlement houses and social care and support made available by some individuals.

An excellent building tour led by Jess. We found the history of the "settlement houses" fascinating.

Beautiful community place for meetings, workshops, cafe and the old chapel upstairs, renovated to it's full glory! The beautiful monochrome photographs from 1970s adorning the walls downstairs, the immaculate hallways and cafe serving great cakes and excellent coffee, all goes to make this place a thriving community building. The place maintains the characteristic old world charm when everything else changes beyond recognition! Love coming back to the slice of Britain as we once knew!
