Greyfriars Charteris Centre is a centre for community with a focus on wellbeing and enterprise. We have various halls and meeting rooms to suit a range of events from intimate team away days to elegant wedding receptions. We also have a co-working area with 20 desk spaces available to hire hourly or monthly, and a community of charities and local organisations spread across 13 offices.

The Social Enterprise Hub is a co-working space launched in Spring 2023 with 20 desks including sit-stand desks, available to hire hourly or monthly (24/7 hot desk or fixed desk). Hire includes access to printing, free bean-to-cup coffee, free Wifi, free meeting room hire and discounted hall hire and scan-to-email mailbox services. It is a spacious area with natural light and a friendly community of office tenants across the building including Edinburgh Social Enterprise. The Hub is accessible by stairs, ramp or lift.

    Good venue. Very pleasant and friendly staff. The only downside was the lack of toilets. Only two cubicles for both male and female, definitely not enough for the amount of people. Other point to note, the doors open about 30 mins before you're allowed access to the actual venue and you're directed to the bar with extortionate prices £3.50 for a can of coke, and the only beers are small cans of Brew Dog (same size as the coke cans) at £5 per can. That aside, I really enjoyed the show, 3 great comedians including Gary Delaney.

    I found the main theatre warm and acoustics good. However, there is a severe shortage of toilets and after a whole day they were obviously not cleaned or checked well, if at all. So I've marked the place down as this is an important feature if you have over 50 people using the space for a whole day.
