In March 2003, AMG expanded to Scotland with O2 Academy Glasgow, following a multi-million pound development of the former New Bedford Cinema. The New Bedford originally opened in 1921 as a cinema theatre venue and is now a magnificent 2,500 capacity live music venue, which retains the grandeur of the art deco period including original ceiling features, balcony and boxes, proscenium arch around the stage, paneling on the stairwell, as well as the original façade. The venue houses a state of the art a sound and lighting system and a fully flexible capacity for a fully seated configuration.

The O2 Academy Glasgow is a versatile multi use events space available for everything from live music events, filming, weddings, parties, private dinners and receptions, and with flexible seating, plus boxes and balcony, is also suitable for awards ceremonies, exhibitions, product launches and corporate conferences guaranteed to impress any client.
