Description

An historic, bright and spacious venue available for hire, just 10 minutes from Central London. Located on the borders of West Hampstead and Kilburn in North West London, this former school building dating back to the 19th century has been modernised throughout. London Diocesan Board for Schools has now taken over the site, using it to run a teacher training centre. The two teaching rooms together with the main lecture hall are available for hire during the week and weekends both in the daytime and evenings. Ideal for corporate hire, weekly arts groups and rehearsal space.

Located on the ground floor, Woolf Hall is our largest and most dynamic space; with high vaulted ceilings that offer the room a commodious and open feel. Regularly used to host our centre based training sessions and church groups at weekends, Woolf Hall has been host to business and educational conferences as well as for birthday celebrations and social events.

Completed my teacher training (Secondary, Mathematics) here, and PGCE with Roehampton. Awful organisation, pointlessly boring training days spent with people who are so inept it’s almost criminal when you consider that it is their responsibility to train new teachers amid a national teacher recruitment crisis. If you attend, don’t be surprised if you don’t understand what the documentation requirements are until towards the end of the course (RPAD, anyone?). The worst is the holier-than-thou, know-it-all, condescending attitude of some of the admin. Mind you: there were SOME here who really tried, and are fully deserving of my respect (thank you Maureen). I learnt next to nothing here, and it did nothing to prepare me for a real world classroom. The only advantage to coming here is that the course includes a PGCE.

I applied for my teacher training here. They didn't even acknowledge my application and kept ignoring my emails. They didn't even have the decency to reject me themselves they waited the full 40 days for the system to automatically reject me. They call themselves Christians. I have a Muslim name but a Christian. I'm sure they assumed my religion because my degree is a first. The same thing happened to another applicant with a Muslim name but she's Christian convert as well. Please stay away

Would not recommend this school. Don't waste it as one of your options. It's true they don't get back. No respect. The Secretary is clearly sleeping. Can't reply to people.
