I didn't stay at the hotel, due to cancelling, however I'm still giving it 5* because of the above and beyond effort shown to assist me during the Covid-19 crisis; many thanks to an employee called Angie more specifically. I booked through Expedia, who were adamant they didn't want to provide a cancellation refund. This was after 1) The CEO of the hotel chain emailed to say ALL bookings during this period will be refunded or rescheduled, 2) The government advising social distancing to take place and all signs were leading to an imminent lockdown. However, after providing detail of Expedia's refusal and lack of understanding to Angie @ Apex Hotels, Angie managed to have discussions with Expedia and secure a cancellation refund for me. No doubt this would've been a mountain of a task during the unprecedented times, but achieved through Angie' perseverance and high levels of customer service. As a result of Angie's support, I will most definitely be rebooking a stay at this hotel once normal life resumes.

My first stay with Apex.I had booked a room for two nights some 3-4 weeks in advance only for it to be cancelled 3 days before check-in as I was moved to another hotel 30 mins walk or 15-20 mins in a taxi away. I had booked this hotel especially to be close to my office as I had late night meetings. No explanation from the hotel, some small gestures but no follow-up to my request for something more reflective of the inconvenience. In 30+ years of business travel I have never been moved to another hotel.

Hotel was shut so was transferred to another apex hotel. Fair play they did send a paid for taxi and upgraded my room.

Stayed here once in a junior suite. It was lovely. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room service was delicious too.

Having booked i received an e mail 2 weeks before my stay saying that I was being moved to a sister hotel across town. No explanation. I called, still no explanation. Really, really poor customer service.
