Absolutely fantastic place to visit. At first you sit in a 'whisky barrel' and are taken through the whole process of making whisky. You see barley, different containers, destilating process and the whole story is told my a ghost... Later on they tell you about different regions of Scotland and how those affect whisky flavour and at the end teach you how to taste it. How to smell it, what to look out for in colour and the way it swirls in the glass. Tasting happens in a room filled with 3500 unopened bottles of whisky. Super trip. Staff is passionate and knowledgeable. Lots of projections and modern twists :) we loved it

If you know little-to-nothing about whisky this is place to visit. First, on a virtual tour, you'll be told how whisky is made. After that your guide will explain to you what are the difference between the 5 whisky-making regions. At the and you can try on of your choice (or more of you've booked the gold tour). The tour takes about an hour and gives you a basic understanding of how whisky is made and contributes to local economy. Let me recommend Cody for a guide. Very friendly with profound knowledge on the subject. Cheers!

An absolute must. You are given a virtual tour in a moving barrel and depending on the tour package purchased, you taste your respective whiskeys. We bought the Platinum package and were not disappointed. Had an incredible experience and the venue is absolutely stunning. Only negative is although the tour is 1.5hours long, we were having such a lovely time we did feel rushed but its a business and I cant mark them down for that, hence the 5 stars! would definately do again!!

If you're into whisky, you should definitely visit The Scotch Whisky Experience. It truly is an experience. You learn a lot about the process of whisky production, the regional differences and the history. You will also get to see their very impressive collection of rare and old whiskies. And that's not all. You will get to taste whiskies from several regions. The tour ends in the very well assorted shop.

I went there with my girlfriend a couple of years ago. I lived in Edinburgh for 6 years and never went, so I thought I'd take my girlfriend on a trip to show her Scotland! It was great fun. The tour was good and the tasting was great. The tasting stated off quiet but by the 4th drink the crowd was a lot louder!! The gift shop is also great. Worth going back in the future. The restaurant was also great.
