Princess Of Wales, Exclusive Hire

The Princess of Wales is a charming pub situated in the heart of Prime Rose Hill. It has two private rooms suitable for hosting various events. Weddings are the most popular type of event held here because of the license to hold ceremonies in our Princess Room, which has a seated capacity of 50 guests. Slots are available between 10 am and 5 pm.

If you wish to host the reception in the Princess Room, the room will need to be reset and prepared for food and beverage service, which takes about an hour. During this time, guests can move down to our garden space or the main bar to enjoy a canape and prosecco reception.

We have two rooms available for private events:

Garden Room & Banksy Garden - This room, located on the lower ground floor, can accommodate up to 120 standing or 40 dining guests. It has a fully functioning bar that can be manned throughout the event. The garden terrace is partly covered, and there is a separate WC for guests to use.

Princess Room - This stunning space is located on the first floor and can accommodate up to 70 standing or 50 dining guests. It has seven substantial bay windows, tall ceilings, and beautiful interiors. The room has its own private bar and TV, making it perfect for various events, including parties, seated breakfast, lunch or dinner, drinks receptions, weddings, showcases, and exhibitions.

Both rooms have their own sound system and TV. We have a built-in sound system, so all you need to bring is a music device (one with a standard headphone input, as the connecting cable we use is a jack lead). Please note that if you wish to use white linen, a £55 fee will apply, which is redeemable against the minimum spend. As a condition of our license, music volume must be reduced by 11.30 pm, with the opportunity to play until 12 am.


Set over three floors that include an elegant first floor dining room, lower-ground bar and event space and the ‘Banksy beer garden’ (named after a mysterious lion stencil that appeared in 2011).


For the minimum spend on food and drinks, this also includes exclusive hire of the entire venue. There is a choice of feasting menus as well as 3 course dinners for private dining events. For standing, please enquire about our canapés and buffet menus.
