Sheildhill Castle is a lavish and grand Castle that dates back to 1199 and offers you great character and charm for your wedding celebration. The principal building has 16 en-suite bedrooms available, along with Reception Rooms and has a fully functioning Chapel. Our recently converted stable block also offers you and your guests a further 10 en-suite bedrooms for those looking to stay the night once your event has come to an end.
We specialise in making your big day unique to you, and truly memorable for both your guests and yourselves. Whether your wedding is for up to 2 or 200, we have everything you need to make your day really magical.

Our venue has recently been recognised as Wedding Venue of the Year at the Scottish Wedding Awards in both 2015 and 2016, and was also shortlisted for best wedding venue in Scotland at the VOWS awards in four consecutive years – 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. Boasting an idyllic setting that is complete with an award winning service, indeed our in house events co-ordinator has been recognised at the 2017 Scottish Hotel Awards as Events Individual of the Year for our region and won overall Events Individual for Scotland.  
We can cater from 2 to 150 and we’re licensed for civil, religious, and humanist ceremonies. From a candlelit ceremony in the chapel, through to dancing the night away it truly is hard to imagine a more romantic setting.
