    Perfect for sightseeing along the Royal Mile. 10 minutes walk from Waverly Train Station. Great welcome from front office staff. Room was well equipped and clean, although the bed was a bit too soft for our liking. Nice shower,but water did spill on the floor due to the screen not being secure against the bath. Restaurant has the best chocolate torte in the world!!!😁 The curry was amazing too. Would definitely return again for a few days getaway.

    Big Plus: The location is great! Walking distance to a lot of great locations. Biggest Plus and perfect spot. Breakfast: Breakfast was very English, but the quality was okay. It's little things like the cheese for the whole morning is on a plate the whole time. It gets sweaty, which is kind of disgusting. Would be nicer if they brought out fresh cheese from time to time. Same with the bacon and eggs. They just sit there for hours and you can taste it. But if you are early, breakfast is good. Rooms: Spacious for the UK and well decorated. We really liked it. But not very well cleaned. There was a layer of dust everywhere and stains on the toilet, mirror, and sink. Bed: The beds were a dream! So Comfortable. And 5* service with a choice of different pillows.

    Stayed for Hogmanay. Room was spacious and very modern, probably a very recent refurbishment as it was immaculate. It was a little disappointing that on arrival the room was very cold though and the TV didn't work. Luckily I wasn't planning on being in the room long enough for TV to matter and the room did heat up fairly quickly once the heating was on. Bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was again very nicely decorated. Shower had good pressure. Only slight criticism here would be the non-slip mat that did like to slide and the gel dispensers one of which didn't want to work at all while another shot across the room like a canon. The staff at the hotel were exceptional. Service at check-in, the bar, and the evening and morning meal service was perfect. A warm, friendly and attentive experience all round.
