First stay at this hotel. Great old building but modern rooms. Very comfortable bed/room (great pillows!) modern bathrooms and great shower. Despite busy road, it was very quiet. Close to Shoreditch main areas.
A R
This hotel, acclaimed for its five-star status and amenities such as bowling, a pool, a sauna, a steam room, a spa (massage), a restaurant, and a sky view terrace, was profoundly disappointing. For a three-night stay at £350 per night, one would expect excellence. The pool, sauna, and steam room were freely accessible without appointments. However, the spa services demanded a fee of £45, contingent upon the availability of a masseuse. Bowling, too, came at a cost of £45 per hour. The scanty toiletries, including diminutive bottles of shampoo and body wash, and the absence of washcloths, rendered bathing unsatisfactory. The hotel felt eerily empty, with scarcely any guests. While the breakfast was a typical English affair, the dinner menu was woefully bland; the steak, burger, and fries all lacked flavor, and the cocktails were merely alcoholic, lacking any true taste. For the considerable sum of £350 per night, I must convey my extreme disappointment with this establishment.

The room is very dark but quite spacious. I want to complain about the services. We didn't have any breakfast, and we don't even know where it is served. However, the reception wanted to charged me for breakfast. When I challenged this, he said he would check with his colleague. Until the next day, there was still no conclusion. Luckily, he didn't overcharge me in the end. Despite this, it was still a bad experience, and I had to spend time arguing about their mistakes.

Please avoid. Terrible experience at Courthouse Hotel, not sure how it is possible they have 5*. To begin with there is no one at the hotel’s entrance, the staff at the reception is not welcoming and to top it all off I found my towels stained. Other than that the room was ok but will definitely avoid spending any nights there in the future
