We had a table booked for 8 people on a Saturday night. 3 of us arrived first and were told by the bouncers we couldn’t get in till the rest of our group arrived as they needed to check if they were as drunk as us. No one in the group was drunk so this felt odd but fair enough. When the rest of the group arrived we were let in no questions asked. I went to the bar and bought a round of drinks and was approached by a women, who I assume was the manager, who asked why I was buying the drinks. She was accusing the group of being overly drunk and saying we need to watch what we were drinking and that we should have the water they left on our table instead. It really soured the mood of the whole group and we felt like we were being watched/couldn’t go to the bar for drinks. Any other time, we would’ve left and gone elsewhere. The bartenders were great and we ended up having a good night, mainly down to the company rather than the bar itself. I wouldn’t recommend this bar to anyone due to the actions of the manager.

Really lovely place and in a slightly quieter area. Had a great meal and was very generous.

Complete jobsworth of a doorman. Useless in fact. No idea what was going on in terms of seating. Was about to be turned away had I not persisted. Burger and beer were both good.

ambiance and service is amazing at this bar—aubrey is a stand out bartender! she’s so friendly and can make a mean cocktail! overall lovely experience
