We booked a lunchtime meal via the website to meet some friends and we were all very pleasantly surprised by the location, the building and a wow factor when we walked in. The meal was lovely and service first class. Well done and thank you for keeping your menu all week. Good luck in the future in these difficult times.

The staff were extremely attentive and delivered fabulous meals in a lovely pub. The food was superb, faultless. From local asparagus & new potatoes, to delicious steaks with amazing sauce and pan fried cod & vegetables. Those of us who had room for a pudding were well pleased & the rest enjoyed delicious coffees. A local pub that we shall definitely return to. Thank you

Booked to stay overnight at the talkhouse and found it a great little pub. The rooms were clean and tidy, good selection of drinks and the food was fantastic. Happy to stay there again and would recommend. Andy

Accommodation was nice enough and I'm sure it's usually the quiet country pub as Advertised but on this occasion that wasn't the experience I had. When I arrived I found that the whole pub had been hired to cater for a wedding, for us this meant that no bar or food was available and a very noisy night whilst stuck in our room. Some advance notice of this and an opportunity to cancel our booking and book into some other quiet country pub would have been nice.
