The Discovery Centre sits within the scheduled ancient monument site of Sheffield Manor Lodge, surrounded by Tudor grounds and wildflower meadows. Manor Oaks Farmhouse is a large barn style extension from our Georgian farmhouse with bar, set within its own garden. Our venues are suitable for business meetings and conferences, lectures, workshops, wakes and celebrations of life.
The Discovery Centre sits at the entrance to Sheffield Manor Lodge's Tudor ruins, surrounded by meadows and fantastic views over Sheffield. It offers a smaller meeting or workshop space with doors opening into the grounds beyond. There is separated refreshment and reception area and the turret house can be booked for break out space.

A very informative museum/castle ruins with a huge impact on history! Mary Queen of Scots on house arrest there fir years and Cardinal Wolsey hid there too! The staff/volunteers were great, very friendly and dressed up in character. Amazing value for money too!

Absolutely brilliant! It's just a nice way to spend a couple of hours learning about where we live, on certain days there's kids activities, dressing up in the lodge, you can get a guided tour, lovely flowers depending on season, lovely staff and a few nice spots for a picnic, you can walk further down to the little farm and a lovely cafe or walk onto Norfolk Park and into town, we really enjoyed our afternoon.

A lovely place, perfect for a day out with children. The staff are really welcoming, engaging and knowledgeable on the history of the grounds. Events are well planned. The space is wide and open, but exits are secure so that you don't have to worry about little ones. The sandpit is my daughters favourite. The seasonal trails are great, my daughter always learns something new. There's plenty of parking, clean toilets, it's all on one level and very accessible with pushchairs or wheelchairs. There is a small gift corner and shop that sells snacks and drinks, an educational room, and outdoor picnic area. prices are very affordable. The meadows are stunning. A hidden gem that deserves more recognition, I'd definitely recommend a trip.
