Add a bit of theatre to your event by hosting it in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse; one of the only candlelit theatres in Europe. The space can host 200 guests for lectures, presentations, and performances. We can also offer the theatre for exclusive use of one of our theatre productions. The seated section of the theatre is wheelchair accessible with step free access.

July 2024The guided tour at this recreation of the historic Shakespeare's Globe is one of the best experiences you can have in London, especially for a theatre enthusiast! To just stand there and imagine the magnificent chaos that would have been the theatre experience 400 years ago is exhilarating! To add to that, being an active performance venue, there are modern day actors and directors working on their next production while you take the tour!

July 2024Very interesting place, once you do the tour with the tour guide you find it even more interesting. Definitely a place to watch a play from Shakespeare or any play they present. The tour guides we had were fantastic!!!

July 2024A great, affordable, fun experience of theatre in London! Everyone should get tickets for the Yard at least once. Standing was worth it for the experience of being part of the performance and of being surrounded by others. Much Ado About Nothing was quirky, vibrant, and so engaging! Standout cast and performances!

July 2024GLOBE TOUR: I was looking forward to my tour at the Globe (I had also purchased tickets to a show at the Globe for afterward). I think the tour was overpriced, and you didn't see much. The guide was talented and informative and good at keeping the attention of participants, but all you really saw was the audience area. It also felt a bit self-promotional (Globe-wise), which was off-putting. The ticket did include entry to the "interactive" exhibit as well, which was nice. If you don't have an option to see a show, do the tour. But if you can see a show, skip the tour (especially if you already have some Shakespeare knowledge). GLOBE PRODUCTION: I saw "Much Ado about Nothing" and it was really excellent. The cast was top-notch, and did a great job of directly and indirectly involving the audience, much as Shakespeare's players would have done. People had strongly recommended renting a cushion to sit on - I don't think it was so necessary, in the end. The seats are just uncomfortable because they are benches with very little space between them. So that's worth bearing in mind.

July 2024With this being my first ever time into the Shakespeare's Globe, it was incredible being able to get a ticket for only £5. Standing up for 2 hours wasn't as comfortable as possible but the play itself really did make up for it. The staff are accommodating and were of much use. I would highly recommend you check out some tickets if you've never been beforehand.
